Is a faith based, non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality counseling services at an affordable cost to the underserved people of our community.
The
mission of Wellspring is to deliver mental health services to financially challenged
individuals in Lee’s Summit and surrounding communities in order that they may have
opportunity to achieve health and wholeness in their lives. It is also Wellspring’s
mission to offer programs of education to groups who share our mission of increasing
awareness and understanding of mental illness in our society. We accomplish this
as a non-profit entity seeking funds from individuals, organized groups, and corporations
and their foundations. We do not believe that good health care of any type should
be based on the good fortune of one’s life.
Wellspring Counseling Center recognizes that each person's faith and world view can potentially lead them into healthy, loving relationships toward themselves, one another, and the world. We welcome and encourage the integration of this spirituality into the therapeutic process. All faith (or non-faith) perspectives are respected. Our therapists are trained not to impose their own personal views upon the client.
