A mom is looking for counseling for her adopted daughter. Ashley* was removed from
her biological parents due to their drug use and the sexual abuse she suffered from
her father. She is now struggling in school and with friendships, and she has begun
cutting her thighs. Ashley is 13 years old. Although money is tight, her mother
is relieved because they do have insurance in the form of Medicaid. Unfortunately,
there are not enough services available and the wait will be at least three months.
